FAQ
Good questions, straight answers
Is IsolaDesk an official WhatsApp app?
No. IsolaDesk is an independent Mac app, not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. Each workspace displays the regular WhatsApp Web, so you need a WhatsApp account on a phone for every number you add, and WhatsApp’s own terms still apply.
How many accounts can I add?
IsolaDesk doesn’t set a limit: add a workspace for every number you use. Each one is linked from its phone, just like WhatsApp Web.
Do my messages go through your servers?
Never. Each workspace talks directly to WhatsApp. We have no IsolaDesk account system and no access to your chats, contacts or media. Our license server only receives what your license needs: the license key, your Mac’s name, an anonymous Mac ID and the app version.
What happens when the trial ends?
After 14 days, IsolaDesk shows a lock screen until you activate a license. Nothing is charged automatically: the trial never turns into a paid subscription on its own. When you’re ready, subscribe for $9.99 a year (plus any applicable tax) and enter your code in IsolaDesk › License…
How does the subscription work?
You pay $9.99 (plus any applicable tax) when you subscribe, and the subscription renews automatically every year on the anniversary date until you cancel. Stripe emails you a receipt for every payment. If we ever change the price, we’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before the renewal it applies to.
How do I cancel?
Anytime, from the customer portal: enter the email used at checkout, follow the login link you receive and click Cancel subscription. Prefer email? Write to support@isoladesk.app and we’ll cancel it for you. There’s no minimum period and no cancellation fee.
What happens when my subscription ends?
After you cancel, IsolaDesk keeps working until the end of the year you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged again. The unused part of a year isn’t refunded. When that date passes, the app shows a lock screen with a Renew button; your workspaces stay on your Mac, so you can pick up where you left off if you subscribe again.
Can I use it on two Macs?
Not at the same time: a subscription covers one Mac at a time. To move it, open IsolaDesk › License… on the old Mac, click Deactivate this Mac, then activate the same code on the new one. Old Mac lost or broken? Email us and we’ll free it for you. Need IsolaDesk on two Macs at once? Take one subscription per Mac.
Are updates included?
Yes. Every new version is included for as long as your subscription is active — no paid upgrades. IsolaDesk lets you know when an update is available: download it and replace the app in your Applications folder.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Within 14 days of your first payment, email support@isoladesk.app and we refund you in full — no questions asked. Forgot to cancel before a renewal? Ask within 14 days of the renewal charge and, if you haven’t used IsolaDesk since, we refund it too. A refund cancels the subscription and deactivates the license. Details in our Refund Policy.
